A Walk to Remember

Walk to remember the lives of children, brothers, sisters and grandchildren who have died. Family members and friends welcome to join in providing healing and friendship. Free to walk but donations greatly accepted. Monies received will go to the local Minneapolis Chapter of the Compassionate Friends to assist families in the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child. Bring donations to the check-in table located to the north of the Lake Harriet Band Shell the day of the walk.

Children’s sizes range from infant through size 14. Clothes are seasonal, inspected for quality and are separated by size. Keynote Speaker: Jeff Siemon

Jeff graduated from Stanford University in 1972, where he starred as a linebacker, playing on two Rose Bowl winning teams. In the same year, he was drafted in the first round by the Minnesota Vikings, for whom he played until he retired after the 1982 season. During that time, he played in three Super Bowls and four Pro Bowls. Jeff was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) invites you to attend our annual Minnesota Gala and Silent Auction. The evening will include a silent auction, entertainment, and an address from an FMSC mission partner. Ticket costs will be $85 per individual, or $850 per table of 10.
