COMPASSION
C.R.O.S.S. Food Shelf
C.R.O.S.S. is a non-profit organization established in 1977 to provide food and clothing to those in temporary need. They serve the Northwest Hennepin County communities of West Champlin, Corcoran, Dayton, Hassan, Maple Grove, Osseo, & Rogers. C.R.O.S.S. has needs for donated food and clothing items as well as volunteers to work at the food shelf.
District 279 Adult Learning
District 279 not only serves the children in our community, but also those who have arrived in the United States from foreign countries and need help in learning basic life skills like how to speak English, math, reading, and citizenship classes. Volunteers can help tutor students during class on most weekday evenings.

Akina Community Church
Akina Community is a church located in the Little Earth area of Minneapolis and seeks to minister to the people in their community. MGEFC has been partnering with Akina to help provide for the community and the church.
Simpson Housing Services
Simpson Housing provides shelter, transitional housing, and support services to individuals and families in Minneapolis and Hennepin County. MGEFC has been partnering with Simpson Housing for several years in providing meals, birthday bags for families in transitional housing and Adopt-A-Family at Christmas time.
Robbinsdale Women’s Center
Robbinsdale Women's Center (RWC) was founded in 1992 to provide compassionate care to women facing unplanned pregnancies and has served over 17,000 women and families. We help our clients sort through their options to make a decision that is right for them. RWC offers free pregnancy testing, ultrasound imaging and medical consultation. Volunteer needs includes donation for their baby boutique, parent mentors, and much more.
CHILDREN
Rice Lake Elementary School
Rice Lake is a school located just blocks from MGEFC and is home to students from the surrounding Maple Grove area as well as students bused in from other areas like Brooklyn Park. Needs include providing school supplies for those in need, volunteering for school events, and classroom helpers and tutors.
Feed My Starving Childen
Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals formulated specially for starving children, and we ship the meals to nearly 70 countries around the world.
CITY
City of Maple Grove
The city of Maple Grove has many volunteer needs including city sponsored events like Maple Grove Days, cleaning and grooming of public areas, and community center events.
